Partick Thistle have agreed a loan deal to sign Hibs defender Callum Booth until the end of the season.

The Firhill side will make Booth their first signing of the January transfer window as Alan Archibald looks to take the side up the Premiership table.

Thistle have been looking to bolster their defensive options with Jordan McMillan currently suspended by the club pending an internal investigation.

In addition, Stephen O'Donnell's future at the club is in doubt with several clubs interested in signing the highly-rated youngster.

Booth has made 12 appearances for Hibs in league and cup this season.

A product of the Easter Road side's youth system, he has spent loan spells at Arbroath, Brechin City, Livingston and Raith Rovers.

If the deal is completed in time and clearance received, Booth could make his debut in Thistle's SPFL match against St Mirren on Friday evening.
