ABDUL OSMAN hopes he can add more goals to his game after opening his account for Partick Thistle on Saturday.

The midfielder headed home a Kallum Higginbotham corner to help Alan Archibald's side to a 3-1 win over Inverness.

It was the Jags' first league victory since their opening-night win over Ross County and the summer signing was delighted to play his part.

Osman said: "I think our loss to Hamilton in our previous home match had been playing on the boys' minds.

"We had to use that as motivation to raise our game against Inverness.

"Returning to Firhill gave us the chance to put it right and we managed to do that. I was delighted to get the goal, as it was my first for the club.

"I only got one in two seasons at Crewe before coming here, and that was in my last game for the club, so it's good to get one under my belt after only six games.

"Hopefully there are more to come. I always look to get on the end of the ball in situations like that and attack corners.

"If Higgy can keep putting those kind of balls in then, hopefully, I will get more chances like that."

With their second top flight win on the board, Thistle have turned their attentions to the visit of pointless St Mirren on Friday night.

Osman is determined to see the Jags build on their weekend victory to keep moving in the right direction in the Premiership standings.

"After beating Inverness we have to keep that up and beat St Mirren," he told ptfc.co.uk

"It's a big opportunity to build a gap between us and the bottom of the league. It's vital we take that chance and get back-to-back wins in front of our home crowd."
