It is another huge fixture for us and the boys and it is a special one for me on a personal level.
When I was a kid up there, Fergie was the manager at Aberdeen and the team were winning leagues and cups and obviously winning the Cup Winners' Cup as well.
I was lucky to be a fan at that time. I'd go to Pittodrie with my old man and we watched some great games there.
That is the arena Aberdeen fans want their team to get back to. They have got a great fanbase, as I am sure we will see at Firhill on Saturday. I would imagine a few of my friends will be down at the game.
One of my best days following Aberdeen came at Hampden as we beat Rangers 4-1 in the 1982 Scottish Cup final. It was a great occasion and great to be at Hampden.
I was lucky to be following the team then. Liverpool came to Pittodrie and they were a terrific side to watch. I was also there when we beat Bayern Munich.
It was an excellent team and memorable times for Aberdeen and in Scottish football. It will be great to come up against them this weekend.
I think Aberdeen will be there or there abouts come the end of the season. They have had a couple of indifferent results but that just shows you how hard this league is.
I'm sure they will be coming here looking to get the three points and to kick on. They will make it very tough for us but it will be a good test for our players to come up against one of the fancied teams in the SPFL Premiership.
They have big expectations on them this season from the fans. The additions that Derek McInnes has made to the squad have been good.
I think he has made them a lot tougher, he has brought players in with a different mentality.
Aberdeen will bring a big travelling support to Firhill so it has all the makings of a really good game.
All the games are big challenges and tough tests for the team that has just come up.
Every point we gain will be vital. It doesn't matter if you are playing a team at the top or a team at the bottom, we go into every game looking to win it and we know how important each result will be for us come the end of the season.
Hopefully we can get our first home league win of the season. Our fans have been different class again this season and they deserve to see us win at Firhill.
Our performances here have been good and we should have taken more points than we have. We are going into the game confident and the boys' attitude will be spot on, they know the levels they have to perform at.
It was nice to get a wee break over the last few days due to the internationals, the boys have come back this week raring to go.
They have worked really hard. Mentally, I think it was a good time for us to have a break. There is a lot to take in for the squad this season, everyone is looking at us and talking about Thistle.
The players have been brilliant this week and now we can't wait to get back down to business on Saturday.
