THE transfer window shuts tomorrow night and we'd like to make one more signing if we can.

However, if it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't. We are happy with the squad we have got here.

We are pleased with the players that we have brought in and the time that we brought them in too.

The guys have come in and settled well and it was important that we brought the right players in at the right moment.

Every signing we make, they have got to fit into how the team play but also into the dressing room and the group of guys we have here.

Everyone in football will tell you the importance of having a happy dressing room, that is half the battle.

Myself and Alan Archibald spoke a lot about the players we wanted to bring in and how we saw the team shaping up and we are pleased with how things have gone so far this season.

Alan has taken to management like a duck to water. It is hard to believe it was February that we came in here and he got his first job.

He has done a great job and I think he has done well in the transfer market, we have made some really good signings so far.

It was important that we didn't rush into taking players and end up bringing people in for the sake of it.

We had to take our time to bring in the right ones and we often sat in Firhill until late at night going over things and looking at options.

We have been offered loads of players, I have lost count of the amount that have been put to us.

But that is good. We have taken them all seriously and looked at each player. We have brought quality recruits in and we are pleased to have the guys on board.

We still have some time to strengthen the squad again and we will see what happens before the window shuts.

We will see what is out there and who is available. As I say, what will be will be.

If we can get another one in, ideally a striker, then great but if nothing happens we are more than happy to go with the squad we have got.

If we do bring someone in, it will be another forward to challenge Kris Doolan and John Baird up front.

The two of them have been great for us so far. We see them day in, day out in training and they are doing really well just now.

Their play and their finishing in training is superb and it won't be long until they are hitting the back of the net in games as well. We are sure of that and confident that they will score goals for us.

It is important that they don't get frustrated when they are not scoring in matches. But they are experienced enough to know that their time will come and they will have a spell where chances go in for them.

The goals will come for them and they will get the rewards for the work they are putting in in training and in games.

The good thing is that we are creating chances, not just for Dools and Bairdy but right across the team; Stevie Lawless and Christie Elliott took their goals well the other night against Cowdenbeath.

We will see what happens by the time the window has shut and then we will take it from there and keep working hard with the squad.
