Scott Paterson: We're ready to do Well after short break

IT has been a couple of weeks since our last game and we are looking forward to getting back playing when we face Motherwell this weekend.

Sometimes these breaks come along at the right time and it gives the boys a rest and some of them the chance to get over any niggling injuries they have. We were pleased with our performance in the draw with Dundee United last time out and I think we deserved more than a point.

It will be another tough game for us on Saturday. Motherwell are a really good team and we will have to be at our best if we are to get anything. They came to Firhill at Christmas and won 5-1, but we cannot afford to dwell on that game or the result.

I could say it was one of our worst performances, but that would take a lot away from Motherwell. I thought they were superb that day, especially in the second half.

It was a game that the players have learned from and I am confident we will be a lot better this weekend.

Stuart McCall has done a terrific job there, they are always up there challenging and are a really good, well organised side with experienced and younger players.
