PARTICK THISTLE have terminated the contract of Declan McDaid by mutual consent ahead of the midfielder's move to Ayr United.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been restricted to only three league appearances this season and Sport Times understands he is expected to sign for the Championship club on a permanent deal.
McDaid arrived at Firhill from Morton in the summer of 2013 and spent the second half of last season on loan at Cowdenbeath after struggling for regular game time.
He made a total of 26 appearances for Alan Archibald's side, supplying three assists.
