Partick Thistle have completed the signing of Czech defender Milan Nitrianský from Bohemians 1905 on a deal until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old right-back has an impressive pedigree, having started his career at České Budějovice before spending four years at Slavia Prague. He then had a season in Italy with Serie B side Avelino before spells with Slovan Liberec and Bohemians 1905 before being snapped up by Thistle.
Subject to international clearance, Nitrianský could play a part in tomorrow's Premiership curtain-raiser against Hibs at Easter Road.
Speaking to ptfc.co.uk, manager Alan Archibald said:
“It was important that we added competition and cover in the full back areas and Milan provides that. He’s a good age and has had recognition at every age group of the Czech national team, but most importantly he is fit and ready to play in the Scottish Premiership.
“Having spoken to him he’s ambitious to do well at this level in Scotland so we look forward to seeing him on the pitch.”
