The Spiders lost 2-1 to a resurgent Peterhead side last weekend – only the third time they have been beaten since mid-September.

However, the Amateurs are still in the hunt for a play-off place.

QP currently sit fourth in the Irn-Bru Third Division, having won half of their games so far.

Speirs' men are 14 points behind table-topping Alloa Athletic, who they entertain at Hampden tomorrow.

He said: "It was a bit of a disappointing result against Peterhead, especially as they scored both of their goals in the space of just a few minutes.

"We didn't play to our strengths in the second half, and I think that cost us in the end.

"But we need to pick ourselves up, and try to get another win on the table."

Paul Hartley's side have won their last six matches, with on-loan St Johnstone striker Stevie May scoring on eight occasions.
