Rangers came out tops in the Old Firm Under-19 clash at Barrowfield to narrow the gap on Celtic.

Goals from Archie Campbell and Kane Hemmings gave the Gers youths a 2-0 lead, before a late goal from Bahrudin Atajic made for a nervy finish for the Ibrox side.

The result had Billy Kirkwood’s kids moving within a point of their title rivals at the top of the table with nine games to go.

And, with a match in hand, Rangers could go to the top of the league with victory in their rearranged meeting with Hibs.

Celtic still have visit to Murray Park on April 3, and will be out to avenge the home reverse in what could well be a decider.
