KENNY MILLER hopes Rangers will see Lee Wallace at his best this season as he looks to continue his stunning start to the campaign.

The left-back has been one of the key men for Mark Warburton’s side as they have seen off Hibernian, Peterhead and St Mirren in recent weeks.

Wallace’s first-half double laid the foundations for Rangers to claim a 3-1 win and all three points in their Ladbrokes Championship opener against the Buddies.

And Miller is confident there is plenty more to come from the 28-year-old as he bids to recapture his best form in Light Blue.

He said: “He had a great game. It is a style of football he wants to play. I think he has been disappointed over the last few years with the way things have gone for the team and him personally.

“It is great to see him play the way we know he can play. He has had a great start to the season and he could have had a couple of goals before now and he knows that. He will be happy with a couple of fantastic finishes.”

It has been an encouraging start to the season for new boss Warburton as his side have recorded a hat-trick of wins on cup and league duty.

And Miller has been delighted to see the Light Blues fly out of the traps.

He said: “It is all about winning at the end of the day. The manager has come in, he wants us to play a certain style of football and he will be happy.

“We did dominate possession against St Mirren, we did have the lion’s share of the chances and it was a good night’s work.

“We are disappointed to not have scored a few more goals and disappointed in the fact that we lost a goal.

“But we won the game and got the league off to a fantastic start and that is off the back of two great cup wins and good performances.

“We are only six weeks into the manager’s reign and we are only going to get better and stronger.”
