LEE WALLACE is confident there is plenty more to come from Rangers’ flying full-backs this term after a stunning start to the season.

The form of left-back Wallace and right-back James Tavernier have been key for Mark Warburton’s side in the opening weeks of the campaign.

The defensive duo have scored five goals between them already this campaign and have been at the heart of Rangers’ attacking forays as they have provided a threat in the final third.

Mark Warburton’s side have seen off Hibernian, Peterhead, St Mirren and Alloa so far this term as they have hit the ground running and given the Ibrox crowd plenty to cheer.

And skipper Wallace is determined he and Tavernier will continue to play their part at both ends of the park.

He said: “I love that side of the game. I know first and foremost I’m a defender and that’s still part of my game I need to work on as well as going forward and Tav is the same.

“A lot of the players have stuff we need to get better at and that will happen under the manager and Davie.

“I love getting forward, I was lucky enough to get two goals last week and Tav’s already chipped in from the other side. He’s come in and been superb, he’s a proper attacking full-back.

“He’s a great guy as well and all the new guys have fitted in well and it’s been a smooth transition to get them in and implement them into an expansive style of play.

“The work the manger has done has been first class in that regard and we’ve clicked so far but it’s early days and we’ve not done anything yet, there’s only been a few competitive games and we’re going to keep working hard to improve.”
