DAVID WEIR is delighted to see Rangers loan stars Nathan Oduwa and Gedion Zelalem loving life at Ibrox and shining in Light Blue.

The Gers recorded their ninth successive win this term with a 5-0 victory over Raith Rovers on Saturday as they opened up a five point gap at the top of the Championship.

While Arsenal starlet Zelalem once again caught the eye with a terrific performance in the middle of the park, it was Oduwa who took home the Man of the Match champagne.

The 19-year-old has dazzled since making the move from Tottenham Hotspur and received a standing ovation from the Ibrox crowd after he ripped Raith apart with a series of tricks, flicks and mazy runs.

Next up for Mark Warburton’s side is the visit of Livingston this weekend as they bid to continue their stunning start to the season and complete a perfect ten.

And Gers assistant manager Weir hopes his loan duo can continue to showcase their talents as they attempt to make a name for themselves north of the border.

He told rangers.co.uk: "Both Gedion and Nathan looked like they are really enjoying themselves - they didn't want to come off the pitch at the end of the game - I don't know if anyone else has noticed that!

"They really savour and enjoy being at Rangers which is great, but you only really enjoy being here when you're playing well and results are going well.

“In order for that to be the case you have to be playing well and you have to turn up and it's not going to be easy.

"So, they've done well and they have a taste now of what it can be like here and they just need to keep producing the performances.

“He's settled in really well and they are only really young lads, so it's not easy, but they've been a credit to their parent clubs and themselves in the way they have acted and how quickly they have settled."
