LEE KILDAY has told Rangers’ Nathan Oduwa that if he’s got it, flaunt it – after the trickster ran him ragged on Sunday.

The on-loan Tottenham Hotspur kid was in sensational form again at the weekend as he terrorised the Morton defence in a 4-0 Cappielow win with a series of flicks and tricks.

It was this elaborate style of play that irked Alloa full-back Colin Hamilton back in August after the 19-year-old left him for dead by sensationally clipping the ball over his head with an extravagant rainbow flick.

But while it upset the Wasps man, Morton right-back Kilday admits he has no problem with the winger, and even confessed to being envious of the Spurs teen’s talents.

When asked if he’d have an issue with Oduwa showboating, the man wearing the Ton captain’s armband joked: “He did it against me!

“He is a very good player. If he has got it in his locker then why not use it? He is probably the best player I’ve played against this season and if he can do these things then good for him.

“That’s his ability, everyone wishes they had that ability, so I don’t see any problem with him using it.

“It’s always great playing in front of a packed house, I’m just sorry we couldn’t give our fans a bit more. But there’s not much you can do when the boys for Rangers are putting it through your legs in the last 10 minutes.”

Kilday added: “I thought they were the better. You can tell that they are a class above. They have individual players that produce bits of magic and I thought Oduwa and Martyn Waghorn were different class.

“They were very good. I actually made my debut against Rangers when I was 18. Back then they had the likes of Kenny Miller, Kyle Lafferty and Vladimir Weiss so they were good as well.

“But this season this Rangers front line is the best we have played against. I thought their movement was excellent and it was hard to get near them when they are passing it round you.”

While the defeat to Rangers was disappointing, it was not enough to knock the wind out the Cappielow club’s sails.

A 3-2 extra-time win over Ladbrokes Premiership side Motherwell saw them through to the League Cup quarter-final, with yesterday’s draw gifting them a home tie against St Johnstone.

“Against Motherwell we did really well and got the victory we deserved. We were better than them on the night,” said Kilday.

“On Sunday against Rangers we never gave up. We lost three goals in the first half but we kept going and had a few chances to score a couple of goals ourselves.

“We can’t be too disappointed because they are a very good team that will beat most in the league by four or five goals.

“We need to take it on the chin and move on. The last week will stand us in good stead.”
