NICKY LAW has called for the Ibrox squad to look at themselves to find the solution to Rangers’ Championship slump ahead of their top of the table clash with Hibernian.

Mark Warburton’s side saw their poor recent run of results continue on Saturday as they crashed to a 2-1 defeat to third-placed Falkirk and Hibs moved level on points in the standings with victory over Queen of the South.

Rangers have dropped ten points in their last six Championship outings as their advantage in the title race has been steadily eroded by Alan Stubbs’ side.

The Light Blues’ recent form is in stark contrast to their superb start to the season as they won their first 11 league outings on Warburton’s watch.

But Law is confident they can get back to those levels sooner rather than later as attentions turn to the visit of Hibs next Monday.

He said: “As players, we look at ourselves. We are doing nothing differently than we were at the start of the season when we were scoring four or five in every game.

“It is ourselves and we are looking at ourselves. We are not creating as many chances as we were, I don’t think the energy is there that we had at the start of the season.

“The pressing and things like that just haven’t been there, for me, in the last few weeks.

“For us, it is about getting back to the standards that we set early on. We have dropped well below that and unfortunately we have let teams catch us up.

“But, it is December, there are four or five months to go and lots of football to be played. I am in no doubt about the quality we have and the staff we have.

“Nothing will change. We won’t change the way we play.

“We know we are a good side, we have got very good players and I am in no doubt that it will turn and we will come back strong.”

After storming out the blocks in the opening weeks of the campaign, Rangers have struggled since losing at Easter Road early last month and are now only ahead of their title rivals on goal difference.

The eagerly anticipated clash with Hibs will not make or break their promotion bid this season as Warburton looks to lead his side back to the Premiership.

But Law is determined to get back to winning ways as he calls on the Ibrox crowd to play their part in ensuring the Gers go into the New Year in pole position.

He said: “We need to win that game. It is our biggest game of the season and it always was going to be, never mind what happened today.

“We need to win that game, and we know that, however we do it.

“It will be a great game I am sure and the fans will be huge for us on Monday. We need them behind us.

“The home game in the play-off against Hibs, the fans were unbelievable that night and drove us on.

“They sang from the first minute until the final whistle and were fantastic, and we will need that again.

“We are going through a tough spell at the minute so we need everyone to stick with us, the fans included. We just need to come back stronger and I am sure we will.”
