GEDION ZELALEM would consider a return to Rangers on loan next season after admitting he is ‘living the dream’ at Ibrox.

The midfielder has made 23 appearances for Mark Warburton’s side this term and helped the Gers reach the Scottish Cup final with victory over Celtic on Sunday.

He has already collected a Championship medal and lifted the Petrofac Training Cup as he has become an important member of the Ibrox squad.

Zelalem came off the bench to turn in an accomplished display at Hampden and held his nerve to convert from the spot as Warburton’s side won 5-4 on penalties.

The American youth international will return to Arsenal at the end of the campaign as he bids to make the breakthrough to Arsene Wenger’s Gunners squad next term.

Boss Warburton is keen to do a deal to bring Zelalem back north of the border for a crack at the Premiership next term and the Emirates kid is open to another Light Blues loan.

He said: "Firstly I'm going to go back to pre-season with Arsenal and see how I do there. If it doesn't work out there then this is another option.

“I haven't spoken to the gaffer here yet about it but I'm sure that conversation will come up.

"This is what I wanted in football to play in these types of games and big derbies be it Arsenal v Tottenham or Rangers v Celtic. I'm living the dream and I hope to continue to do that."
