Ross County's Jim McIntyre is the only top-flight candidate for the prize.

Falkirk manager Peter Houston and Peterhead's Jim McInally are the other nominees.

Warburton has been named on the shortlist with Rangers on course for a triple silverware haul, with the Ibrox club looking to add the William Hill Scottish Cup to their Ladbrokes Championship title and Petrofac Training Cup triumph.

McIntyre led County to a breakthrough season - their first major trophy following their League Cup final win over Hibernian, and their first top-six finish.

Former Dundee United boss Houston has guided Falkirk into the Premiership play-offs and they are still vying with Hibernian for second spot in the Championship.

McInally led his League One team to the Petrofac final against Rangers as well as a place in the play-offs.

Hibs' Alan Stubbs missed out despite leading his team to two cup finals and a place in the Premiership play-offs.

The winner will be announced on Sunday night at PFA Scotland's annual awards dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.
