JOEY BARTON'S Rangers future remains in doubt after a meeting with the Ibrox hierarchy was postponed last week.
The midfielder has not played for Mark Warburton's side since the Old Firm defeat at Parkhead following a training ground bust-up.
Barton was due to have talks with Light Blues chiefs on Thursday but a new date will now be set.
A club statement read: "The disciplinary hearing scheduled for October 13, at which Joey Barton was to appear, was postponed at the player’s request.
"A new date will now be agreed between both parties which means Joey Barton’s suspension will continue until a reconvened meeting has taken place. Neither party will make any further comment."
