RANGERS midfielder Jason Holt was frustrated by a poor performance against Ross County on Sunday that saw the Gers miss out on a return to second place in the Premiership table.

Clint Hill gave Mark Warburton's side an early lead, but Staggies skipper Andrew Davies levelled to secure a point for the rock-bottom Highlanders and Holt lamented that 'a bit of everything' had gone wrong for the visitors.

The result leaves the Light Blues in third place, one point behind Aberdeen, but 11 points adrift of leaders Celtic who also have a game in hand.

“The result is disappointing but we’re disappointed by the performance as well, we aren’t happy with going from really good last week to not so good this week," Holt said to Rangers TV.

“Getting the goal so early was great and we had chances after that to go and get ourselves a cushion in the game but we conceded instead which was disappointing.

“Even after that we had chances in the second-half which we were frustrated we didn’t take.

“There were a lot of things which weren’t as we had them last week; dynamic movement, forward runs and a bit of everything to be honest.

“That was what was missing and we’re disappointed we didn’t play like we did last week.

“We have a long time to think about the game now and analyse it and myself and I’m sure a lot of the boys will probably be thinking about it.

“For me I will be thinking that I could have done better and we have a long time until the next game now.”
