WES FODERINGHAM Made a couple of stops and commanded his area well. Will be disappointed to miss out on a clean sheet. 7

LEE HODSON Handed a start at right-back and grabbed his chance to shine as he was named Man of the Match. Terrific finish to make it 2-0 capped a fine performance. 8

CLINT HILL The 38-year-old continues to impress at the heart of the Rangers back four. His commanding presence will be missed after he picked up two yellow cards late on. 7

ROB KIERNAN Looks far more comfortable with Hill alongside him and he was once again solid at centre-back. Coped well with the Aberdeen attack as he turned in an impressive showing. 7

LEE WALLACE Gers skipper hasn’t had his usual influence in an attacking sense in recent weeks but he was effective on the left-flank against the Dons. Should have finished off a marauding run by opening the scoring. 7

ANDY HALLIDAY Had to put a shift in help give his side a foothold in the middle of the park and can’t be faulted for his effort. 7

JASON HOLT Couldn’t offer as much as he would have liked in a creative sense but showed a different side to his game as he and Halliday looked to stamp their authority in midfield. 7

KENNY MILLER Redeployed in a deeper and more central role as Warburton shuffled his pack and was once again an integral part of the side. Cool finish set the Gers on course for victory. 8

MICHAEL O’HALLORAN Back into the starting line-up wide on the right of the Gers attack. Had a few chances to run at the Dons defence and did OK overall. 6

JOE GARNER Thrived in the hustle and bustle of battle as the old rivals went toe-to-toe at Ibrox. Didn’t have that many clear sights of goal but led the line well and his physical presence was vital to Rangers’ approach. 8

BARRIE MCKAY A more confident display and Warburton will hope that is a sign of things to come. Always looked a threat for the Gers. 7

JAMES TAVERNIER (for Miller) Given an unfamiliar midfield berth and played his part as Rangers saw the game out. 5

MARTYN WAGHORN (for O’Halloran) Will be pleased to be back on the park after a frustrating few weeks. Booked in the late scuffles. 4

HARRY FORRESTER (for McKay) Didn’t need to be the super sub this time but helped Rangers get over the winning line. 4
