BUNDESLIGA star Oliver Burke reckons Barrie McKay can reach the top level of the game if he continues to shine with Rangers.

The winger has become of the brightest talents in Scottish football since being given his chance to impress by boss Mark Warburton.

His fine form for the Light Blues has seen him rewarded with a call-up to Gordon Strachan’s international squad as he has earned rave reviews for his Gers performances.

Burke was on the score sheet for RB Leipzig as the German title hopefuls beat Warburton’s side on Sunday and the £13million forward was impressed with McKay despite Rangers suffering a 4-0 defeat.

Burke said: “I’m very happy with the team. To win the game on my first start in the Red Bull Arena was a great feeling for me.

“Scoring against Glasgow Rangers is a good feeling. It was a great atmosphere as well, which was nice.

“I thought Rangers dug in very well. They showed good quality at times.

“They are a good team. We won the game, but they showed quality.

“I know Barrie McKay. He played very well and had a good match and many of the players - I don’t know everybody’s names - have good quality.

“I don’t know him all that well, but he’s capable of anything he wants to do. He’s a good quality player and I believe if he keeps working hard and keeps showing what he’s capable of then, of course, anything can happen in football. He’s a great player and he’s shown that.

“Of course [he can play at the top level in England], I don’t see why not. If he continues playing his game for Glasgow Rangers, anything is possible.”
