JOE DODOO hopes he can stake his claim for a regular Rangers starting spot in the second half of the season.
The striker has struggled to hold down a place in Mark Warburton’s side since making the move to Ibrox from Leicester in the summer.
His late brace against Partick Thistle in November has been the highlight of his Light Blues career so far and the 21-year-old is determined to make an impact in the coming months.
He said: “The second half of the season for me is about getting as many games as possible and getting a good run of games as I’ve not really had that since I have been here.
“I got injured against Kilmarnock, then didn’t start again until the game against Hearts. I need to try and get a run of games, get my fitness up and go from there.
“Anything else that comes from that – whether that be internationals etc. - is a bonus, but I am just trying to work hard for the club at the moment.”
