RANGERS Under-20s booked their place in the Youth Cup semi-finals with a 5-1 win over Falkirk on Sunday afternoon.
Graeme Murty’s side fell behind when Kevin O’Hara gave the Bairns an early lead as he converted at the second attempt after keeper Robby McCrorie saved his spot kick.
But the Light Blues responded in impressive fashion as they hit five goals without reply to secure their spot in the last four.
Jamie Barjonas fired home a double to put Rangers in front at the break before Zak Rudden netted from 12 yards to all but clinch the win for Murty’s side.
Midfield duo Liam Burt and Billy Gilmour combined to give Gers their fourth of the afternoon as the 15-year-old slotted the ball beyond keeper Lewis McMinn.
It was Jack Thomson who completed the scoring as he made amends for his penalty concession with a terrific strike to add the shine to a comprehensive victory for the Ibrox kids.
