PEDRO CAIXINHA hopes to forge a positive working relationship with Rangers chairman Dave King ahead of their maiden meeting on Wednesday.
The Portuguese spoke with King for the first time during a phone conversation earlier this week following his appointment as Ibrox boss.
King will arrive in Glasgow in the coming days and talks with Caixinha are high up on his to-do list as the Light Blues begin a new era with the 46-year-old at the helm.
Caixinha said: “Yes, I had the pleasure to call him on the phone. He invited me.
“We spoke about some viewpoints about the welcome I got the relationship we want to create.
“We are going to have dinner next Wednesday and, for sure, we will have time to talk face-to-face in a one-to-one situation about all the points I think we share for the future of the club.
“This will be an important relationship. I’m a guy who is all about relationships.”
