WILL VAULKS insists he is not interested in joining Rangers after admitting that his priority is to help take Rotherham straight back up to the Championship.

Despite being part of a Millers side that finished bottom of the English second tier, the versatile former Falkirk player has been linked with a return north of the border as Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha plans a major summer overhaul.

The midfielder, who can also play in defence, spent three seasons with the Bairns before being snapped up by Alan Stubbs at the New York stadium on a three-year contract last summer.

The 23-year-old, who made 42 appearances last term, insists he plans to be around for the team’s assault on League One.

He said: “I’m committed to remaining a Rotherham United player. Even if there is interest from other clubs, I feel there is massive unfinished business for me with Rotherham.

“I don’t know if the Rangers interest is real or not. Speculation takes off quickly.

“I can’t leave on a season like that, even if the option is there. It’s Rotherham United for me next season. I can’t see me being anywhere else.”
