AIDAN WILSON admits the defeat to Aberdeen took the shine off his Rangers bow at Ibrox.
The 18-year-old was handed his first start by boss Pedro Caixinha on Wednesday night but couldn’t prevent the Light Blues going down 2-1 in their penultimate Premiership outing this term.
Wilson equipped himself well alongside David Bates at the heart of the Gers defence but was frustrated he couldn’t cap the occasion with a win.
“It was obviously not the right result but I thought I did alright myself,” he told the Official Rangers Podcast. “Going up against Adam Rooney was a tough game but I thought I held my own.
“Batesy was really good. He was always making sure I was switched on when we had the ball, making sure I was tucking in and he really helped me.
“It has always been my aim as a young boy coming through the Academy and that has got to be the aim for everybody.”
