PEDRO CAIXINHA insists his Rangers recruits will have the right mentality to thrive at Ibrox as he gets set to kick-off his summer rebuilding job.

The Portuguese will look to overhaul his Light Blues ranks in the coming weeks as he prepares for the upcoming Europa League qualifiers and his first full campaign in the Premiership.

Rangers bring the curtain down on a nightmare term with a trip to St Johnstone tomorrow afternoon in what will be the final match for many of Caixinha’s squad.

And the Ibrox boss will reveal who will stay and who will go during the close season next week ahead of a crucial close season on and off the park.

Caixinha said: “When I talk about this club, history and tradition, that is all involved down there.

“Things go like this. First of all the players need to know which club they are coming to.

“They need to feel that passion just to represent such a big club like this. Of course the team needs to be all the time up at the top.

“But when they come by my hand and they know me, they are playing first of all for the club, but they are also playing for me and you start to know how I am. What is the image I am looking to build the team under my image.

“You will have two pages, whether it is one name or ten. I will be glad to give the two pages as soon as possible. Maybe it will be one then the other but you will have two pages.”

After rounding off their campaign at Perth tomorrow, Rangers have just a couple of weeks to recover before they return to action ahead of the new season.

It is set to be a hectic summer at Ibrox but Caixinha is relishing the challenge as he looks to stamp his authority on the Gers squad.

He said: “I will have all the pleasure to give you two pages maybe next week, players in, players out. And your question regarding that will be ending by that time.

“I am here to work. I didn't come here to watch for the elements.

“You know how many days off me and the team have had so far? Yes, a couple, maybe like more than a week, but for me holidays or days off means that we don't have training, that is all.

“24/7 should be the life of the manager, if some others are going to play golf or enjoy the life that is the way they see these things. I see them differently.

“They will be on the list. It doesn't matter (how many). The list will have the names and after you will count the number.”
