DANIEL CANDEIAS is confident Bruno Alves can bring out the best in Rangers’ Portuguese contingent this term.
The winger put pen-to-paper on a two year deal at Ibrox on Sunday as he became the latest summer signing for boss Pedro Caixinha.
Candeias played alongside Alves during a spell with Porto and was in the same Benfica squad as defender Fabio Cardoso.
And the 29-year-old is looking forward to working alongside the experienced Portuguese stopper once again in Light Blue.
He told RangersTV: “I know Bruno Alves from when I was at Porto, I played with him there and I trained with Fabio Cardoso at Benfica.
“Bruno is a fantastic player, I don’t need to say too much about him because he is already known worldwide and is a top central defender.
“Having the opportunity to play with Bruno will help Fabio a lot; when I was at Porto he did the same for me and for the young kid. I think that will be really important for him.
“I don’t know Dalcio personally but I have had the opportunity to watch him in a few games and he has a lot of quality, for a player of his generation this is a really good opportunity for him here to improve his football.”
