STEWART ROBERTSON reckons Rangers’ return to European action is another step in the right direction for the Light Blues.

Pedro Caixinha’s side will be cheered on by a sold-out Ibrox when they face Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League first round.

It has been a significant summer on and off the park for Rangers and Managing Director Robertson is relishing another night of continental action.

He said: “We have seen over the summer some really positive steps like the kit deal and getting back into Europe is a major step for the club.

“The club should always be in Europe, especially with the stature of the club.

“We are starting right at the beginning which the club is not used to doing but we will go there and give it our best shot and try and progress as far as we can but it is just great to be back at that table again.”
