PEDRO CAIXINHA reckons Rangers are heading in a positive direction on and off the park after a productive summer at Ibrox.

It was also confirmed that Mark Allen will leave his position at Manchester City to become the new Director of Football at Ibrox.

And boss Caixinha is confident the Welshman can help him bring success back to Rangers in the years to come.

He said: “It was important to get the Director of Football and also the situation with Sports Direct and the kits.

“The club is getting into the right direction and everything is getting back to normal, which allowed us to work with even more motivation and a will to deliver to the fans.

“We work for our fans and when things are going in the right direction, we got more motivation, confidence and trust from all of the sectors of the club that works together in the same direction.

“We have already had one meeting and I think we speak the same language. He speaks the same language as me and also the club. We are all on the same wavelength and that is very important.

“I think he can take away the time spent on all these deals for players. When you are representing Rangers, you need to have profile of the players defined and then just deliver one folder with the needs that I have identified.

“That is not just for now, with all the processes we have gone through, but also what the needs may be in, for example, two years’ time.

“Everything will be about teamwork again. That is the way things are done within the club.”
