RANGERS have been slapped with a €7,000 fine by UEFA after fans threw objects onto the pitch during their Europa League qualifier against Progres Niederkorn at Ibrox.
The Light Blues beat the side from Luxembourg 1-0 in the first leg of their first qualifying round tie on June 29, before falling to a 2-0 defeat in the return leg to end their European run at the first hurdle.
The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body of European football's governing body announced their decision on Tuesday, with the Gers being judged to have breached Article 16 (2) of the disciplinary regulations.
Play was stopped during the first leg tie when balls of coloured paper were thrown onto the pitch near the Progres goalkeeper.
Pedro Caixinha's side face Ligue 1 outfit Marseille in a friendly at Ibrox on Saturday, before a final warm-up game against English Championship club Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday 30 July completes their preparations ahead of the new Ladbrokes Premiership campaign.
