JORDAN ROSSITER was on target for a Rangers XI at the Challenge Cup in Nuneaton on Sunday afternoon.
The midfielder missed out on a place in Pedro Caixinha’s squad for the friendly with Sheffield Wednesday but got more vital match minutes under his belt for the second string.
Rangers were beaten 3-1 by PSV Jong on day one of the competition and followed up that defeat with a draw against Wolves.
Midfielder Rossiter opened the scoring for the Light Blues and youngster Aidan Wilson netted a late equaliser.
The likes of Liam Kelly, Ross McCrorie, Jordan Thompson and Ryan Hardie were part of the Gers squad for the tournament as Liverpool and Coventry also sent teams to Liberty Way.
