WES FODERINGHAM is confident Rangers can quickly get over their Premiership defeat to Hibernian when they host Hearts this weekend.

Pedro Caixinha’s side went down 3-2 at Ibrox on Saturday in what was a controversial and entertaining top flight affair.

Despite taking the lead through Alfredo Morelos inside four minutes, the Gers couldn’t convert a positive start into three points.

Simon Murray equalised for Hibs before Ryan Jack saw red and there was no way back for the Light Blues as a James Tavernier own goal and Vykintas Slivka strike clinched the win for Neil Lennon’s side.

Rangers have now turned their attentions to the visit of Hearts this weekend and keeper Foderingham is determined to get back on track at the first attempt.

“We were winning games of football and playing well as well,” he told RangersTV. “I don’t think this will halt that momentum.

“We know the red card changed the game completely for us, as it does any team. But we still feel as though we have got that momentum and belief.

“We started the game well and no doubt in our minds we would have went on to win the game comfortably.

“The red card changes that and you have to try and tweak things a little bit, it alters the pattern and slows the train down a bit. We had to adjust to that.

“Of course we need to bounce back with a win and we know that the fans will be eager for us to get back to winning ways, and so are we.

“That word momentum keeps popping up. We need to make sure we go out there the same we did against Hibs and what we have been doing and that is start with a real intensity and, if we can, get an early goal as well.”
