MOTHERWELL fans have turned up in their droves to get hold of tickets for their Betfred Cup semi-final clash with Rangers

Sales opened on Thursday morning and hundreds of supporters queued around the block to make sure they could see their team in action at Hampden Park.

Stephen Robinson's side take on the Gers at the national stadium on October 22 in what will be their first semi-final encounter for six years.

The last time, back in 2011, the Steelmen also faced the Light Blues but were beaten 2-1.

'Well beat Aberdeen 3-0 in an impressive performance last month at Fir Park to book their place in the last four, having previously knocked out Ross County in the second round.

They have started the season strongly, picking up 13 points in the first eight games to sit in fifth place in the Ladbrokes Premiership table.
