The Saints followed up their loss to Aberdeen before the international break with another reverse against Rangers at McDiarmid Park.

“That proves a point, and I am the one that uses it most often, that stats don’t win games and quality does. We didn’t have that extra bit of quality.
“I would imagine if Rangers had 16 corners they might have scored more. But we lacked that bit of quality in the final third.
“But, our build-up play, our work rate, I can’t complain about it. I got a response and I am happy about that, but not happy with the result obviously.”
