GORDON SMITH reckons any potential Rangers boss will have their own questions for the Light Blues board before they put pen to paper.
The Gers are continuing their search for Pedro Caixinha’s replacement and interim boss Graeme Murty could remain in charge for the visit of Hamilton this weekend.
And former Ibrox striker and director of football Smith knows the bottom line will feature high up the list of priorities for the prospective candidates.

He said: “I don’t believe an interview will be required if they have identified who they want.
“However, that person will want to know the budget at their disposal.
“They will want funds to help take the club forward. That will worry some candidates.
“There are out-of-work managers who would take the job, regardless of the financial position.
“Those in a job, looking to protect their reputation, will look very closely at the budget.”
