ANY week that sees Rangers play Aberdeen twice is sure to be an interesting and exciting one. On this occasion, you have the AGM thrown into the mix as well.

Going by some of the calls we are getting on Radio Clyde, I think it could be a heated affair and there are a lot of supporters that aren’t happy with the way things are going, on or off the park, right now.

When this board took control of Rangers a few years ago, the fans were delighted and were confident they were the people to take the club forward.

They inherited a real mess at Ibrox, including the situation with Mike Ashley, and there are various issues that have been sorted. Now, everyone, from the boardroom to the dressing room, is under pressure.

We talk about a Rangers family and that family has to stick together during what is undoubtedly a difficult time.

The men at the top have got a huge decision to make over who the next manager is and the fans have to let them get on with that.

Every board at every club has made poor decisions when it comes to recruitment and the shareholders at the AGM will hold this one accountable for the appointment of Pedro Caixinha, I am sure.

But it is what the future holds for Rangers that is of greatest interest to the supporters now and they have a chance to question Dave King and the directors on Thursday morning.

The recruitment process for the next manager will be high on the agenda and people will be asking why it has taken more than four weeks since Caixinha was sacked to bring another boss in.

But, as I have said, it is important for Rangers to get the right man in here and if it takes Mark Allen a bit of time before he recommends his man then so be it.

You have to give him his place and let him make his decision. Then it will come down to the board once again.
