JAMIE MURPHY admits he has realised his boyhood dreams after netting his first goals for Rangers in the last week.

The winger moved to Ibrox on loan from Brighton during the January transfer window and opened his account in the Scottish Cup win over Ayr United.

He then got off and running in the Premiership as Graeme Murty’s side beat Hamilton 5-3 on Sunday.

Murphy has made an impressive start to life and Ibrox and was a key performer for the Light Blues at the SuperSeal Stadium.

He told RangersTV: “It was an enjoyable game to play in, you want to be in a team which scores goals but we are disappointed to concede the goals that we did so there are still a lot of things to work on.

“It is a bit weird to feel like this after scoring five in a game but if we are going to win games we have to score goals and we managed to do that.

“We are disappointed as a team that we conceded a few so we will definitely work on that.

“We defend as a team, we lose goals as a team and we score goals as a team. We are still working on the complete game, it is not perfect yet but it is up to us to fix.

“The feeling of scoring for Rangers is amazing; it is something I have always dreamed about, scoring goals for this football club.

“It was good to get the first league one [on Sunday] but the first one last week felt better. Every goal is amazing but you can’t beat your first one.

“I have been happy with my performances so far, I have been really enjoying playing in the team, the boys in the changing room are great and the manager is great.

“We are doing well, we had a little blip against Hibs but apart from that we have looked really solid.

“You want goals and assists, you don’t want to be going through games and not contributing. I am glad to get my goal but the assists mean just as much.”
