THE best way for Rangers to get a result against Celtic this weekend is for them to be positive and I hope that is how Graeme Murty sets the team up.

There are weaknesses in that Celtic side and it is up to the manager to pick a line-up that can take the game to them and cause them problems.

Middle to front, Rangers have players that are in form, that are scoring goals and that are high in confidence. So let them go and express themselves at Ibrox.

Graeme has earned two draws from his two visits to Parkhead as caretaker manager and he will know the difference this time around has to be in the final third.

Rangers have the ability to create chances but they must take them this time because that has been the problem against Celtic recently. That is what you have to do in the big games.

Celtic always look like scoring goals and they have started to get players back in form. They maybe weren’t firing on all cylinders before, but they will be on Sunday.

There are still some doubts about this Rangers defence at times but in Greg Docherty and Sean Goss we have two very capable players in the middle of the park.

They will have big parts to play and they have to stop the supply to Celtic’s strikers. Out wide, the two wingers have a role to play in their own half of the pitch as well.

Docherty is perhaps the more industrious of the two midfielders, he can get back and defend and get forward as well, but Goss has been very impressive and has a terrific range of passing.

Further forward, there are threats all across the park and in Alfredo Morelos Rangers have a striker that is highly rated and is in good scoring form.

The Old Firm performances under Graeme have been encouraging but what Rangers need this time is that final piece of the jigsaw. They need to put the ball in the back of the net.
