WALTER SMITH reckons the next generation of potential Ibrox stars will have benefitted from their time on the park alongside the Rangers legends.
Under-20 kids Jack Thomson, Stephen Kelly, Cammy Palmer and Andy Dallas were given a run-out during Saturday’s charity clash.
Smith said: “The youth boys did really well. It can be really awkward for them in the sense that they were maybe playing in a position they don’t normally play for the club.
“They were asked to play well out of position and join in with guys who are maybe not at their fittest!
“So it wasn’t easy for them, but I think they enjoyed it and it’s a good experience for them getting out in front of a crowd like that.”
