THERE has been a lot of talk about the future of the manager over the last few days but there are a number of players at Rangers that could be in the final weeks of their time at Ibrox as well.

It is clear that the squad needs strengthened once again in the summer and we need to bring quality as well as quality.

For that to happen, people need to leave. There are players there not getting a game and they need to be moved on.

There is too much deadwood there and that is an issue that the manager, whoever that is, and Mark Allen will need to solve over the summer.

Rangers need players that can come in and improve the starting line-up straight away but you can’t just keep adding and adding without trimming from the bottom.

There are a number of players on the books that aren’t good enough and haven’t contributed enough so they need to be moved on as quickly as possible.

Like the situation with the manager, that work can’t start once the final whistle goes in the last game of the season. Rangers don’t have any time to waste here.
