THE agent of Nikola Katic has hinted that the defender has passed a medical as he closes in on a move to Rangers.
The Light Blues have been in discussions with Slaven Belupo for the centre-back, with Russian giants Spartak Moscow also interested.
However, SportTimes understands that Rangers have won the race for his signature with a deal very close to completion.

The player's agent Mladen Kliskinic dropped a big hint that his client is closing in on a move to Ibrox on Tuesday.
He posted a photograph outside the Manchester Institute of Health & Performance on Tuesday morning with the message: "ONE PLAYER, Medical test, 5 hours, All good."
Gerrard has already added four new players to his squad since his arrival with Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor, Jamie Murphy and Ovie Ejaria signing.
A move for Brighton defender Connor Goldson is set to be announced this week after a £3 million fee was agreed between the clubs.
