JOSH Windass last night admitted the return of Kenny Miller to the Rangers side had helped the Ibrox club get back to winning ways.

Miller found himself sidelined after a fallout with former manager Pedro Caixinha in the aftermath of his side’s 2-0 defeat to Celtic at home back in September.

But the vastly-experienced forward has been restored to the starting line-up by caretaker Graeme Murty since Caixinha was sacked.

Rangers have romped to emphatic triumphs over Hearts away and Partick Thistle at home and Windass feels that is no coincidence.

They can rack up three wins in a row for the first time since last December if they beat Hamilton in a Ladbrokes Premiership game at Ibrox this afternoon.

Speaking as Rangers announced an executive club partnership with Octopi Engineering, he said: “Kenny has made big impact.

“He scored two goals against Hearts which more or less won us the game. He played well after that and hopefully he can carry on playing well. He is a big guy in the dressing room.

“I can’t speak for anyone else, but I personally get on very well with Kenny. I speak to him quite a lot. He has obviously been good for me since I have been here. Hopefully, that carries on.

“He was always a part of the dressing room, he just wasn’t playing. It wasn’t like he didn’t turn up. He was there all the time, he just wasn’t getting selected. That is the difference.”

Asked if he had been missed, Windass said: “The results would suggest that, but it is not for me to say whether Kenny should be playing or not. I am not the manager.”

Josh Windass was talking as Octopi Engineering were unveiled as the latest member of the Rangers Executive Club.
