I have been coming back into Ibrox for a couple of weeks now and every day there has been work going on and things getting done to improve the stadium. It has been great to see.

People say that Rangers aren’t spending any money. Well, they are certainly spending millions on Ibrox and Auchenhowie to get them back up to standard again.

There has been an awful lot of work going on and I am sure the supporters will be pleased to see that being done after previous regimes neglected the stadium and the training ground for so long.

There has been a lot of work done and a lot of money spent and it is good to see the board looking after the facilities and giving the staff, both on the field and off it, a better environment to work in.

Ibrox is an iconic stadium and you can’t let things slip. It needs to be worked on every year and unfortunately that didn’t happen at times in the past.

The directors are sorting things out, they are making it a ground to be proud of again and that work will continue and continue.

The pitch has been relaid as well. They must be feeding it whiskey, because it is coming up half cut! It has really come on in just a couple of weeks and it is looking terrific ahead of the new season.

I am sure the fans will be really looking forward to getting back to Ibrox next month and seeing the team play under Steven Gerrard.

When they get back, they will see a difference around the place and that will only continue as the board put money where it is needed.
