FIJIAN international Niko Matawalu has been voted Player of the Season by Glasgow Warriors' supporters - the second time in his three seasons at the club that the 26-year-old has won the top prize.

Matawalu, who has made a big impact both at scrum-half and on the wing during his time with the Warriors, will leave Glasgow for Bath at the end of the current campaign.

He reclaimed the award in an online poll, in which fans chose from a shortlist of six players selected by the club's coaching staff.

The others on the list were Jonny Gray, Peter Horne, Tommy Seymour, Josh Strauss and DTH van der Merwe.

Stand-off Horne was named Players' Player of the Season, and back-row forward Adam Ashe was Young Player of the Season, while the award for Most-Improved Player went to hooker Fraser Brown.
