ADAM ASHE will be out until 2017 after undergoing an operation on a hip injury, Glasgow Warriors have confirmed.
The Scotland international backrower sustained a knock to his foot during last season's Pro12 play-off defeat to Connacht.
Warriors annouced today that he has undergone surgery on an 'underlying hip injury' and Ashe is expected to be out of action for the rest of 2016 as a result.
Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: “We’re all disappointed for Adam that he’s going to be out for a longer period of time following a hip operation, but we wish him all the best with his recovery.”
Glasgow kicked off their league campaign with a sensational 41-5 win away to defending champions in Galway last weekend.
They host Leinster at Scotstoun on Saturday at 3pm in their first home game of the Pro12 season.
