SCOTLAND and Glasgow Warriors fly-half Finn Russell has returned to training after coming through the third stage of a head injury assessment.
The stand-off was temporarily taken off during the 27-22 Six Nations win over Ireland on Saturday after sustaining a head knock.
Scottish Rugby confirmed on Tuesday that Russell has returned to training having completed the third stage of the recovery protocol.
Russell was ruled out with injury for several months last year after sustaining a severe head injury during the Warriors' Pro12 semi-final defeat to Connacht.
He is likely to line up at number 10 for Scotland on Sunday, when they look to build on a promising start to the Six Nations with a trip to face France in Paris.
