ADAM ASHE is convinced that he and his Glasgow team-mates can deliver more of the same tomorrow night when the Warriors meet Ulster at Scotstoun for the second time in seven days.

A 32-10 victory last weekend gave Glasgow home advantage for the Guinness PRO12 play-off semi-final, and although Ulster are expected to field a stronger starting line-up this time round, Ashe - who was last night named as the club's Young Player of the Season - is sure his side will again be strong enough to prevail.

"We played reasonably well at the weekend, but I think we've still got a little bit more to give," the back-row forward said.

"They've got a few more players to bring in that they rested, but I'm confident we can do the same again and get the result we all want and get us through to that final."

The final a week on Saturday is at the Kingspan Arena, Ulster's home stadium in Belfast - an incentive if ever there was one for the Northern Irish team to win tomorrow.

But, as well as having faith in his own team's ability, Ashe is sure the visitors will find it tough psychologically to recover from last week's loss, no matter who they select to start the game.

"I think momentum's massive," the No.8 continued. "To come back here for the second week on the trot will be tough for them. They were beaten the week before. It's never nice to go to a place where you've been beaten - your memories of getting beaten and all the rest of it can affect the way you perform as a team.

"Definitely having a home semi-final, with the way the crowd reacted for us last week ... if we can get the same again from them that will be brilliant. So I think momentum's a massive thing for us.

"Ulster probably looked at what we did at the weekend, went back home and are going to come back firing with some different stuff. That's part of the game - in these back-to-back matches, that's what teams look at.

"We're obviously going to have stuff to throw back at them. That's just part of it, and we all look forward to it."

With a bigger prize at stake than last week, Ashe believes this match could be tenser and tighter. But he also knows that, in a sense, the pressure will be off the home team, because last week they had to go in search of a bonus point to ensure they would be at home for the semi.

"In terms of points, we just need to get as many on the board as we can, whether it be kicking penalties or all the rest of it. So I think it will be a slightly different game tomorrow - probably more like a Test match almost, rather than a need-to-get-a-bonus-point-win sort of game."

Meanwhile, utility back Connor Braid will leave at the end of the season. The Canadian international, 24, joined the Scotstoun side last summer, but has made just seven appearances, scoring four conversions and a penalty.

Braid was sent to London Scottish on loan in December, but returned to Glasgow two months later as he filled in for some of the club's Scotland call-ups during the RBS 6 Nations.

He said: "I would like to thank everyone at Glasgow Warriors for giving me the opportunity to play and be involved at this great club.

"I have learned a lot in my time here, and will use my experiences as I look to progress in my career."
