EUAN MURRAY reckons he can produce his best rugby at Glasgow after rejoining Warriors this summer from Worcester.

The 33-year-old previously enjoyed four years with the club from 2003 to 2007 before rejoining the Scotstoun outfit ahead of this season's Guinness PRO12 campaign.

The proud Glaswegian has never attempted to hide his passion for the city, and the 60-times capped Scotland man is ready to show Warriors what he's made of.

He said: "I'm from Glasgow and I got an offer from Gregor Townsend to come up.

"The team has been doing really well since I was away and I'm hoping to just enjoy a successful year.

"Training is hard here but it's nice to have the sun shining.

"I think the guys who have been away with Scotland or the 7s have worked hard and rested well.

"I just want to get and stay fit, and play some of my best rugby."

Warriors had their best season to date in the PRO12 last year, making it all the way to the final to face Leinster.

Despite going down 34-12 in the showpiece at the RDS, simply getting to the final was seen as progress for a club which had gone out at the semi-final stage for the last two seasons running.

And with hopes high among fans that Warriors can go one better this season, Murray admits he too is getting excited about what the forthcoming campaign may bring for Glasgow.

The prop told Glasgow Warriors TV: "We have done well as a squad the last few years and we were just so close in that final a few months back.

"It's going to be a really hard year but we're confident it's going to be exciting as well."

Murray is in today's squad to face Aviva Premiership side Harlequins at Scotstoun, kick-off at 3.30pm.
