Glasgow Warriors final home match of the regular GUINNESS PRO12 season against Ulster has sold out in record time.

The Irish province visit Scotstoun this Saturday (16 May) and all the matches on the final day will kick-off simultaneously at 3pm.

With an increased capacity of around 10,000 it will also be the club's biggest home crowd for a regular season game.

Last season 10,000 watched the Warriors home play-off match with Munster and 7,240 supporters turned up to watch Glasgow's win over Cardiff Blues last month.

The Warriors are currently second in the league and have secured a play-off spot for the fourth year in a row.

A top two finish in the GUINNESS PRO12 would secure a home play-off for the second consecutive season.

Due to increased demand an additional hospitality marquee will be built behind the east stand for this game and limited hospitality places are still available HERE.

Glasgow Warriors managing director Nathan Bombrys said: "We appreciate the fantastic support that has seen our match against Ulster sell out in record time. This will be our biggest crowd ever for a regular season home game.

"Our supporters have turned out in large numbers all season - home and away - and the noise and energy generated by our supporters provides a huge boost to the players out on the pitch.

"Our average attendance at Scotstoun this season is now nearly 6,400 and we would like to thank our supporters for their tremendous support all season, and look forward to an excellent atmosphere for this crucial game against Ulster."

Meanwhile Glasgow backs Fraser Lyle and Rory Hughes have signed new contracts.

Fly-half Lyle has signed a two-year deal while wing Hughes has extended his stay until May 2016.

Lyle, who joined from Stirling County this season, made a try-scoring Warriors debut against Zebre in February and has since represented Scotland Sevens, and Hughes made his Glasgow debut in February 2014.

Glasgow head coach Gregor Townsend said: "Fraser came in earlier this season and worked very hard to earn a short-term deal, so we're delighted he's extended his contract with us.

"He's had a really good season, impressing for us during the international window and then for Scotland Sevens in Hong Kong and Tokyo.

"Rory has come through our academy system and has made a lot of improvements in his game, since signing his first professional contract at the start of this season. He is maturing as a person and has a very professional approach to getting the most out of his rugby career.

"He was a key member of our squad which won back-to-back Melrose 7s titles and has been playing well for Stirling County in the BT Premiership this season.

"Both players have worked extremely hard to earn new contracts and are set to play bigger roles at the club next season."
