STUART HOGG hopes Glasgow can up their discipline to record a historic win over Toulouse this weekend.

Warriors host the French giants on Saturday just a week after going down 19-11 in the European Rugby Champions Cup.

In what was the Scotstoun's side first defeat in three pool matches, a key factor in their downfall was their control in the match.

Gregor Townsend's team picked up two yellow cards in the contest as well as conceding 30 penalties at the Stade Ernest-Wallon.

And Glasgow and Scotland full-back Hogg knows the Guinnes PRO12 team must tighten up and remain composed if they are to cancel out their last result.

He said: "I was obviously very disappointed we didn't win at the weekend but we can learn from it and the good thing about European competition is that we have the chance to play them again on Saturday.

"We'll work hard this week, analyse where we went wrong and hopefully get a positive result this time around.

"Our discipline wasn't great at the weekend, especially considering we pride ourselves on being a well disciplined team."

The prospect of advancing beyond the group stage in Europe for the first time is a still very much within reach for Glasgow.

Victory would send the Scots back to the top of their four-team section and all-but secure their safe progression.

A bumper crowd is expected at Scotstoun for what would be a landmark moment for the club as they look to boldly go where no Warriors team has gone before on the continent.

And with just around 500 tickets left, Hogg is relishing the prospect of an historic afternoon against Toulouse on Saturday.

He told GlasgowWarriors.org: "It's a massive occasion for the club and we firmly believe we can qualify from the group.

"There's a lot of hard work to be done not just in terms of preparation, but also recovery.

"We're all pushing each other for places which is great as it really ups the tempo in training."

Standings tickets are still available for the tie which will kick-off at 1pm. They can be purchased at www.GlasgowWarriors.org
